The loss of one or more teeth does not have to be a tragedy when you seek treatment from an experienced dentist. At Asklepion, we are specialists in dental bridges and other dental prosthetics that do not give discomfort. Make an initial appointment with our dentists. They will recommend the most suitable dental substitution for you.

What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is used as a partial substitution for a set of teeth. A dental bridge is like a dental implant, but unlike dental implants that are fixed directly to the jaw-bone, the dental bridge is fixed with metal crowns or with another device to the neighbouring teeth.

Dental bridges are mostly used in cases where it is necessary to replace 1 to 4 missing teeth.

For whom is a dental bridge suitable?

Dental bridges are ideal for patients who have lost a whole tooth or where the tooth has been damaged in such a way that it is not possible to apply a dental crown that would carry the false tooth.

It is necessary to apply the dental substitution for the missing teeth as soon as possible. The main reason is not aesthetic. It is in reality the fact that after the loss of a tooth the teeth on either side of it move into the empty space. As a result of this, occlusion defects appear and the changed situation in mouth is non-reversible.

Before the creation of the dental bridge it is necessary to define the teeth that are able to carry the construction of the dental bridge and to transfer chewing pressure. The creation of the dental bridge takes in total 2 to 3 visits to thedental surgery.

Why not try a third millennium dental bridge?

At Asklepion, we also offer the possibility to replace lost teeth with a so-called inlay dental bridge. This is an all-ceramic dental bridge that is created in a laboratory on the basis of a plaster model, analogous to the classic dental bridge.

The resulting effect is aesthetically perfect andthe damage to the healthy teeth is minimal. Inlay dental bridges and traditional all-ceramic dental bridges made using CEREC technology are offered to the clients of the Dentistry Ward at Asklepion in cooperation with the Asklepion Lab (dentistry laboratory).

What do you do after the application of a dental bridge?

The most important thing is dental hygiene. Our dentist will introduce you to all you need to know.

Are you unsure whether a dental bridge is the right solution for you? Make an appointment for a consultation. Our specialists will help you find the ideal method to fill the space between your teeth.
